As some folks have witnessed, black bears roam the woods here in the Mad River Valley. Sightings in the wild can be very exciting but sometimes bears venture into residential areas for food, creating problems.

To find out more about the habits of these beautiful animals and what to do when you encounter a bear, I caught up with Tom Rogers, who is the Information Specialist for Vermont Fish and Wildlife.
